finally!!! and flakies

well i saw this design somewhere, i think google....and ive wanted to try it FOREVER and finally did however i did it different than the inspiration picture...i did a gradient and added glitter...and did a butterfly on my thumb.

this was my mani for monday (during the day) i was going to add to it tonight but i just ended up taking it off completely. it is my pink from ulta and china glaze flakies. i out a glow in the dark top coat on it to be fun but didnt get a pic of it :( my sleepin pills kicked in waaaaay too fast and i almost passed out when i was painting them.

vintage cherries!

so the feathers lasted longer than i thought....took them off tonight and did this. i love the white with red tip but not too crazy about the red with white tips..but im always a fan of cherries!

so i decided to try the feathers on my nails again....lets see if they last longer than a day this time. the seche vite seems to be holding them on better than the regular top coat i used before. and these feathers dont seem as thirsty as the feathers i used last time....but we shall see what happens!

GLITTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so i got some martha stewart glitter pen things in the mail the other week and decided to see what they would do on my nails...well i did this real quick on st. patty's day. needless to say, it didnt hold up very well once i started cleaning and doing the dishes today.

sorry i havent been posting lately. ugh ive been really sick for awhile. idk how because there hasnt been a winter here in PA...but ive been sick more this year w/o a winter than i have been any other year that there were bad winters. ugh i think we need to move to alaska or somewhere cold. it doesnt help that strept and ear infections are going around the school like crazy! on top of being sick, my allergies are driving me nuts! anyways, enough of my pitty party...here are some things i have done since posting last....

gel polish is the red polish and the black with flowers is regular polish.

 

Gel polish (used with the light). i was wondering if i could paint designs on it so i gave it a try and it worked for a couple days. 

st. patty's nails. i used the gel polish top coat then cooked it under the light so they would last until at least friday. i painted them on tuesday night and so far they are holding up pretty decently.

im not irish...and im not good with writing letters with polish.

i also have to say that the gel polish that comes in the kit from walmart claims to last 2-3 weeks. mine lasted a week not counting having to do touch ups and repaint a finger. my dishwasher broke so i have been doing dishes by hand and after soaking in the water, the gel polish completely peeled off one of my nails. the gel top coat started peeling off too. when i did decide to take it off, it was very very hard to get off and totally trashed my nails. supposedly it is supposed to come right off after soaking it in remover but, yea right, it didnt. i had to soak and pick and peel to get it off any my nails looked like complete crap afterwards.  

magnetic

okay so i used the china glaze magnetic polish that i got the other day. my review is....dont waste your money! the polish is a very pretty color but the magnets dont make very clear designs and they are really hard to see. also, i only had the polish on for one day, ONE DAY, and it started chipping all over the place! so here is the awful picture....my phone has been really poopy lately and doesn't want to work have the time to do anything! yep...guess i have to go to sprint today. ugh is it friday yet?!

UUUGGGGHHHHHHHH!

i know i havent posted anything in awhile..i havent done anything with my nails in awhile :( my husband persuaded me to partake in a "weekend" project that is taking longer than a weekend and destroying my nails. they are all broken, cracked, and chipped. i got the gel polish off and sadly it turned my nails a reddish yellow color :( :( i probably will not be using that brand again. but hopefully i will have some time tonight to do something with my nails. i need a self mani really bad right now. i finished my "honey do" list for the day so maybe he will give me the night off from working on the renovation project (yeah right) HOPEFUL THINKING!

SOOOOOO EXCITING!!!!!!! and happy birthday dr. seuss (march 2nd!)

well these are my dr. seuss nails. we have been doing dr. seuss things in my prek class all week due to his birthday on march 2nd and tomorrow we get to wear super cool dr. seuss hats that we made. we are making oobleck and green eggs and ham outta marshmallows, pretzel sticks, and m&ms (even tho i am TOTALLY against anything from the mars company due to their animal testing)

^ive looked at this box a dozen times. ive been wondering what is in it. i broke down and bought it even tho for me, it might be a little unconventional since i change my nails every other day. i used gel nail polish for the dr. seuss design and once i added regular nail polish top coat the polish started to peel off so idk if i can do designs on top of the gel polish with the light^
